Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Barat (Pemprov Jabar) memutuskan untuk memperpanjang Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB) hingga 12 Juni 2020. Meski demikian, penerapan PSBB wilayah Bodebek tetap berlangsung hingga 4 Juni 2020.
Keputusan ini diambil oleh Pemprov Jabar untuk menyelaraskan dengan PSBB di Ibu Kota, dimana wilayah Bodebek adalah kawasan penyangga ibu kota.
Gubernur Jabar Ridwan Kamil, melalui surat Keputusan Gubernur tentang perpanjangan PSBB, meminta masyarakat yang tinggal di daerah tersebut untuk mengikuti ketentuan dalam pemberlakuan PSBB dan menerapkan protokol kesehatan.
Gubernur DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan pun mengumumkan bahwa masyarakat harus bersiap dengan protokol baru yang disebut sebagai new normal. Ia menjelaskan bahwa protokol new normal tersebut masih diproses, dan akan diterapkan setelah pelaksanaan PSBB di ibu kota berakhir.
“Dari mulai protokol kegiatan perekonomian, beribadah, sosial, budaya, sehingga kita bisa menjalani kehidupan baru kita, sambil mencegah penyebaran corona,” ujar Anies tentang beberapa protokol untuk beraktivitas yang sedang dirancang.

This decision was taken by the West Java Provincial Government to harmonize with PSBB in the Capital City, where the Bodebek area is the capital's buffer zone.
West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, through a Governor's Decree on the extension of the PSBB, asked the people living in the area to follow the provisions in the implementation of the PSBB and implement a health protocol.
DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan also announced that the public must be prepared with a new protocol called the new normal. He explained that the new normal protocol was still being processed, and would be implemented after the PSBB implementation in the capital city ended.
"From the protocol of economic activity, worship, social and culture, so that we can live our new lives, while preventing the spread of corona," Anies said about several protocols for activities that are being designed.
